Community Leadership

A note from our Rabbis

Rabbi David Glanzberg-Krainin

“The Center began with a simple conviction: that no one should have to carry a hard season alone, and that the help on offer should never depend on what you believe or whether you belong to anything at all. What we have built here is not a synagogue programme. It is a door that opens outward — to our neighbours, to people of every faith and of none, and to anyone who walks up the path looking for somewhere to sit down.”

“We are grateful to the people who keep it open, and we hope you will find something here that helps.”

Rabbi David Glanzberg-KraininRabbi Andrea Merow

Our beginning

Wellness through happenstance

How the Center came to be, and what one act of attention turned into.

  1. A conversation nobody planned

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua, ut enim ad minim veniam quis nostrud.

  2. Somebody stayed

Duis aute irure dolor in reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur, excepteur sint occaecat cupidatat non proident.

  3. A life turned around

Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam eaque ipsa quae ab illo inventore.

  4. A gift, and a door left open

Nemo enim ipsam voluptatem quia voluptas sit aspernatur aut odit aut fugit, sed quia consequuntur magni dolores eos qui ratione voluptatem sequi nesciunt.

Programs & events

Explore Our Classes & Programs

The Center for Spiritual Well-being can offer a connection to giving back to others spiritually and emotionally. We offer programs, support groups and classes that engage individuals who are seeking mental, emotional and spiritual, support and well-being.

Social Action

Social Action

This is an umbrella group for many social action activities such as providing food for the needy, environmental issues, helping the sick and social issues. It shall undertake and promote opportunities founded upon the Jewish principles of gemilut hasadim (good deeds) and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).

Support Groups

Support Groups

We offer various support groups through the CSWB. These groups usually consist of people with similar problems who meet to give support, practical advice, and encouragement to the people who participate in the group.

Torah & Yoga

Teaming and co-sponsors

We do not do this alone

Programs at the Center are often run with other non-profits in the area. Where a partner co-sponsors an event, they are credited on the event page.

Support the Center

Keep the door open

The Center for Spiritual Well-being is funded on its own. A gift made here pays for the classes, the support groups, the healing services and the social action work that stay free and open to anyone who walks in, whatever they believe.

Suggested amounts are placeholders and no impact line is written yet — both need the Center’s real numbers.
